Dr. Lee Wittenberg
Dr. Wittenberg attended his first year of Podiatry School at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He moved back to his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio thereafter to finish at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2000.
Dr. Wittenberg was granted a 3-year surgical residency at the Miami Veteran’s Hospital under the direction of Dr. Michael Cohen. This is the longest and most thorough type of residency available in Podiatry, and less than 15% of available residencies at the time were of this length. While in residency, Dr. Wittenberg was trained in Primary Podiatric Medicine, Forefoot Surgery, Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery, Diabetic Would Care and Limb Salvage, Sports Medicine and Biomechanics.
After passing his surgical boards to become double board qualified in both Foot Surgery and in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons, Dr. Wittenberg accepted a position at Chatham Foot Specialists in Chicago, Illinois. From there, he secured a position at Fallon Clinic in Worcester, Massachusetts. Both practices had a high surgical volume, and Dr. Wittenberg was able to perform a wide array of procedures.
Dr. Wittenberg’s warm office staff and comfortable environment are welcoming to new patients. At Apache Foot & Ankle Specialists, there is great pride in attention to patient care, and appointments are scheduled so adequate time may be devoted to every person. Most insurance is accepted and very fair cash prices are available to those who are uninsured.
