At Apache Foot and Ankle Specialists, we are a one-stop shop for all of your foot and ankle needs. We always keep your best-interest in mind, and move in a conservative direction rather than surgical whenever appropriate and possible.

From routine trimming of toenails and removal of calluses to full reconstructive surgery, we are qualified and capable of treating your problems. We make custom orthotics for relief of foot pain and improvement of foot function, as well as provide Diabetic Shoes and Insoles for those patients whose feet need such protection.

MEET OUR DOCTORS

Dr. Lee Wittenberg

Dr. Wittenberg attended his first year of Podiatry School at the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco. He moved back to his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio thereafter to finish at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in 2000.

Dr. Wittenberg was granted a 3-year surgical residency at the Miami Veteran’s Hospital under the direction of Dr. Michael Cohen. This is the longest and most thorough type of residency available in Podiatry, and less than 15% of available residencies at the time were of this length. While in residency, Dr. Wittenberg was trained in Primary Podiatric Medicine, Forefoot Surgery, Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery, Diabetic Would Care and Limb Salvage, Sports Medicine and Biomechanics.

Dr. Bijan Sheikhizadeh

Dr. Bijan Sheikhizadeh was born and raised in Olympia, Washington and grew up exploring the forests of the Pacific Northwest. He headed East for college to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Sheikhizadeh graduated from Creighton University with a B.S. in Biology. As a humanitarian, Dr. Sheikizadeh visited New Orleans several times after Hurricane Katrina to help rebuild some of the tragically destroyed homes and architecture to help save the city.

Dr. Sheikhizadeh then attended Podiatry School at Western University of Health Sciences near Los Angeles, California. Dr. Sheikhizadeh was highly motivated, and was able to achieve a 3-year surgical residency at Kingwood Medical Center in Houston, Texas. While in residence, Dr. Shiekhizadeh saw a very large volume of patients on a weekly basis, and was trained in every element of Podiatric Medicine and surgery. This included extensive experience with wound care and limb salvage, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, and primary clinical/office-based Podiatric medicine.
